When you buy a house somewhere, it is good to know what activities are worthwhile. Or which restaurants are recommended. Especially when there’s so many options you don’t know where to go anymore. Therefore, we made a list of restaurants, activities and “day trips” in Vinaròs. To help you feel at ease in your new home town. Recommended by people who have gone before you.
1. Play golf at Panorámica 18 hole course
The Panorámica golf course is located in the Valencia region of Spain. It is the work of the German champion, Bernard Langer. The Panoramica Golf, Sports & Resort is an 18-hole course, surrounded by centuries-old laurels and olive trees, and it is beautifully maintained.
The Panoramica Golf, Sports & Resort course is a real challenge for the experienced golfer and a unique opportunity for high handicap players and beginners. It is a pleasant and relatively flat course where you can really use all the clubs.
2. CHA SISCO
For typical Spanish tapas, this is the place to be. It is also a good option with children, as they have a children’s menu. They have a good, patient service and a nice atmosphere.
3. Restaurant Ruben Miralles
This restaurant is not to be missed if you are in Vinaròs. The food could almost be Michelin worthy. The ingredients are of a high quality and the service is professional and friendly.
4. Puerta Azul
If you are near the sea, you must have eaten fish at least once. Puerta Azul is the right place for it. The restaurant is located close to the sea. And when you sit in the inner garden of the restaurant, you almost imagine yourself in a romantic film. If you are with the right company of course.
5. Platja barbiguera
Platja de la Barbiguera is in 30th place of the 72 beaches in the Castello Castellon region. It is one of the beaches in Vinaros, and is only 2.9 km from the centre. The beach is located in an urban area.
It is a small coastline with several coves, crystal clear turquoise waters and grey fine gravel, so you do not need special shoes. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, solitary travellers, lovers of a relaxing getaway, etc. It is not crowded during the season. It is not crowded during the season.
6. Fuego Luento
In this restaurant you will find yourself among the locals, which is always a good sign. If you are looking for tapas, you better look further. If you are looking for (a lot of) good food, this is the place to be.
7. A day trip to Peñiscola
Peñiscola, also called the city in the sea, is one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. The castle and the city walls are surrounded by the sea, which gives a fairytale effect. And when you walk through the narrow cobbled streets, you can feel time passing by. But at the same time, you walk past small boutiques that are worth a visit.
And for Game of Thrones fans, it is even more interesting to visit Peñiscola as an episode was filmed there in 2015.
8. El Faro
If you want a restaurant close to the port, El Faro is exactly what you’re looking for. The food is traditional Spanish and of a good quality.
9. A day trip to Morella
Morella is also one of the most beautiful villages in Spain. And when you see the pictures, you will understand why. The castle that rises above the village is spectacular. While walking through the narrow streets, you will soon imagine yourself back in history. There is also an authentic and artistic atmosphere in Morella that you do not want to miss.
